| Q & A with monolog Q: Where does your artist name come from? A: Stuck on the westcoast of denmark is pretty mono, started logging it. Q: Tell us more about your musical roots! A: Jazz, Metal, Noise and a lot of improvisation in all ballgames. Body needs all kinds of vitamins, never felt locked in a certain genre and always felt compelled to turn things upside down. Q: How did you start producing music? A: Bands for starters, metal.. then jazz.. then noise, then first PC.. in a long line of PC's, picked up a lot of samplers along the way, mostly akai's. Q: Are you also a DJ? A: Used to be, with 9Kmassive up north. Never got into it again, enjoy live gigs. People never notice the difference anyway Q: Do you work together with other artists also? E.g. Remixes? A: Yea, Karsten Pflum in a project called A dying User and species from shadowforces with a few tunes in the making. Also a few remixes coming out during 2011 Q: Do you have any special musical aims? A: I would like to meet a sub that makes me feel umcomfortable, Q: What do you think of the contemporary popular music which is played by normal radio stations? A: ..its sad to see such a big opportunity to spread a message of music get so fucked up along the way that it narrows down to a 5 tune playlist. Q: What have you read recently (book, play, film, etc.) that moved or surprised you? A: Every single one of them.. books i mean, I'm picky, recently exile by Jacob E Q: What is your all-time favorite track? Why? A: Transfixion by meshuggah, works like a high powered battery for me. Q: What's one thing you're a fan of that people might not expect? A ant eaters..i mean.. look at that face. |
